After COP30: Carrying Momentum into Climate Action
Dear ClimateMind friends,
COP30 ended just days ago, and it remains one of the most intense and yet profoundly meaningful experiences of my life, showing how much psychology shapes cooperation — especially in the small human moments.
I felt truly uplifted by the chance to work with so many passionate, mission-driven people who approach this work with real hope.
Standing inside this COP, learning from frontline leaders, hosting several COPside events, and being invited to in-depth interviews — including the newsroom Bloomberg which we’ve linked below — reinforced how trust and understanding can grow even in a strained diplomatic system.
Now that COP30 has concluded, the real work begins —and this newsletter highlights how ClimateMind’s courses, events, and case studies can help translate psychological insights into climate action.
Warmly, Janna Hoppmann

At COP30, they drew strong interest from negotiators, civil-society groups, and institutional partners, which has been highly encouraging for us.

🎤 Interview with Bloomberg
One of our COP30 highlights was Janna's conversation with Laura Millan Lombraña from Bloomberg — a newsroom with considerable impact on how climate issues are discussed in political arenas.
Together with Dr. Michael Bilharz from the Federal Environment Agency and Claudia Reiser from ARD’s Climate Competence Center, she explored how psychology can help us understand the human dynamics behind negotiations and how individuals and communities are impacted by global decisions.

For a practitioner meetup of municipal sustainability officers, Fabian delivered a keynote on communicating with climate skeptics. He unpacked common argument patterns, offered clear guidance for productive discussions, and for staying calm in heated moments.
