Ready for skills that really make a difference?

Take your most important transformation skills to a new level—and become a pioneer of change.

Project period: November 2024 to November 2025

Client: Catholic Adult and Family Education in the Diocese of Essen gGmbH (KEFB)

Target group: Entire workforce, including managers

Format: Multi-part program consisting of a series of webinars, theme weeks, a structures workshop, and evaluation

Initial situation

How can KEFB build a culture in which sustainability is driven forward in an innovative and ambitious way by the entire team? This was the question facing KEFB. As it had become apparent, simply embedding sustainability in the company's strategy was not enough to bring about real change. It required action and implementation by the entire team.

ClimateMind's approach

In order to establish a culture of innovation around sustainability within KEFB, ClimateMind developed a customized program consisting of the following components:

  • Structural analysis through a structures workshop, in which obstacles to the promotion of sustainability by employees were identified and concrete measures for change were developed.
  • Modular continuing education program on the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), consisting of five webinars that introduced and trained participants in selected IDGs. The selected IDGs were then applied and explored in greater depth in everyday work during four-week themed weeks that followed each webinar.
  • Measurable impact through an empirical before-and-after survey, which made it possible to derive well-founded next steps.

Results & Impact

  • Creative potential activated: The number of ideas on how to promote sustainability within the organization increased significantly.
  • Strengthened initiative: The likelihood of employees contributing their ideas or implementing them themselves demonstrably increased..

Relevance for other decision-makers

Anyone who wants to truly embed a culture of sustainability across their organization must address two levels: individual skills and organizational structures. The ClimateMind approach shows that:

  • Psychologically sound competence development ensures that employees really take action.
  • Identifying structural barriers and addressing them as management is crucial to ensuring that commitment does not come to nothing.

Particularly relevant for organizations that want to integrate sustainability into their DNA—and create the right cultural conditions for doing so.
